Notice of Safe Usage Forest Service Lands within Calaveras County
The Calaveras County Sheriff's Office routinely communicates and coordinates law enforcement efforts with cooperating agencies. Recently, our office was advised of a non-sanctioned and unpermitted event that may be occurring on Forest Service Lands within Calaveras County's jurisdiction. Public Safety, in conjunction with preserving the integrity of public lands from environmental damage, is paramount. We issued the attached letter to begin a dialogue with the promoters to outline our concerns. We intend to remain transparent and keep the public informed of our progress.
